When people enquire on your website about boats that you have for sale, you will want to know exactly how to reply. Take a look at this simple, step-by-step guide that shows you how to manage your enquiries.
1. Firstly visit your relevant primary marketplace and log in to your account using your credentials. These marketplaces include:
2. Click ‘My Account’ and then ‘Account’. Then on the left hand menu click ‘messages’.
3. You will then be presented with a list of all of the messages you’ve received. Once here you should:
a. Click on a message to see it in full.
b. See the ad that the message is in relation to – click the ad reference to see the ad in full.
c. See the customer’s phone number.
d. See what the customer has written.
e. Write a reply to the customer.
f. Click the arrow to send your reply to their email address. Your reply will then appear below their message.
You will also receive an email notifying you each time a user enquires on a boat on your website and you’ll also receive an email when customers reply to your responses.
4. You may also notice you get an ‘Instant Message’ as soon as you’re logged into your relevant primary marketplace. These pop up messages will contain:
a. A link to the ad that the message is referring to.
b. The customer’s message as well as their name and the time at which they made their enquiry.
c. Space for you to type an instant reply – just type your message and press enter to reply to the enquiry.
Keep your eyes peeled for this pop up box which will appear again once the customer replies to your response. You can also check for a reply by following the steps listed above and selecting the required customer from the list of messages.
